The challenge

GINCO General Contracting, part of GINCO Group, bills its projects through interim payment certificates, with retention held back, advances recovered over time and variations added along the way. These documents carry more structure than a standard sales invoice, and the UAE e-invoicing mandate requires that structure to be expressed in a defined electronic format.

The group needed to know exactly which entities and documents are in scope, how a progress certificate maps to the required invoice data, and how the data reaches the Federal Tax Authority through an Accredited Service Provider, all before the mandate deadline.

What we did

Kaido is taking GINCO General Contracting through a four-step readiness programme so that contracting invoices transmit correctly under the UAE mandate.

The result

Contracting invoices are not simple invoices. We model the certificate first, then connect the provider.Kaido IT Solutions

Why it worked

Kaido starts e-invoicing work with scoping, not software. The obligation map for GINCO General Contracting sets out which legal entities, document types and counterparties are covered and from what date. From there the invoice data model is restructured so that certificates, retention, advances and variations produce valid, complete records, and only then is the Accredited Service Provider integrated. Scope and price are fixed at the start, and each step is signed off before the next.

The next gate is the completion of test transmissions through the provider, reconciled against the contractor's own records. Once those pass, the configuration is frozen ahead of the mandate date and the team is trained on the exceptions they will see in daily use.
