The challenge
Al Qemah Marble & Granite supplies and installs natural stone for projects across Dubai. Quotes were priced by area, but the stock in the yard was tracked by slab and block in separate lists, so sales could not see which material was really available or what it had cost.
Cutting and finishing ran on paper job cards, and project cost was assembled after delivery. The business wanted quotation, stone inventory, production and accounting on one system so that each project's margin was known while it could still be managed.
What we did
Kaido implemented Odoo so that a stone order runs from measured area to allocated slab, cut, delivered and invoiced on one record.
- Quotations priced by slab and by square metre, with material and cutting cost visible before sending
- Inventory of slabs and blocks by lot, with reservation against confirmed orders
- Production orders for cutting and finishing, consuming the reserved stone
- Project delivery and accounting so margin is tracked per job, not discovered at the end
Slab-level stock, area-based quotes and live project margin for a Dubai marble works.
Quote from the slabs in stock, cost the job before it is cut, and the margin stops being a surprise.Kaido IT Solutions
Why it worked
The outcome came from the discipline every Kaido engagement runs on. Scope and price were fixed and signed at the blueprint gate. The slab and block inventory was counted, valued and reconciled before go-live rather than loaded on trust. Training was by role across the yard, the workshop, sales and finance, and the senior consultant who scoped the project delivered it.
Al Qemah Marble & Granite has stayed on a Kaido support arrangement since go-live in 2025, so new stone types, pricing rules and reports are added as the business needs them.
